Research & Development
Transforming a soft combination into a material that is both strong and flexible was far from easy. Behind every pair of OCENEO, there are years of research, hundreds of prototypes, and a lot of perseverance.
Hundreds of prototypes
It all started in a garage, between 2019 and 2022. Finding the right particle size for the crushed material, the right bio-based resin, the right molding process: each parameter required dozens of tests.
After several years, a first solid plate was born, strong enough for a frame and flexible enough for comfort. It is this material that made OCENEO possible.
Innovating through insourcing
Rather than relying on subcontractors, we invested in our own machines, including a CNC machine. Mastering the tool means being able to continue experimenting: new colors, compression products, material applications.
R&D never stops and is now fueling the NEOPOP project.
