The elegant one. Our most dressed-up model.

Biarritz has never chosen between the ocean and the city. Villas, terraces, Art Deco lines: here, surfing is also worn with a shirt.

Our most dressed-up model: drawn, structured lines that suit both a delicate face and a more prominent profile. The one that goes from the office to the seaside without changing its style.

The material. Same origin as the rest of the collection: wetsuit neoprene, salvaged and hand-reworked in our workshop in Arcachon. Elegance begins with what's inside.

  • Frame: recycled neoprene
  • Lenses: Divel bio-nylon, category 3, UV400, polarized or non-polarized
  • Tints: bluish grey, green, brown
  • Manufacturing: Arcachon Bay, France

Made to last, not to be replaced. Designed and manufactured in France from a material that would have been thrown away.

Recycled material+

The frame is made from recovered neoprene wetsuits, ground into powder and bound with a bio-based resin. Since each pair comes from recycled material, the pigments and shades can vary slightly depending on the batch. That's what makes every frame unique.

Manufacturing+

Handmade in our workshop on the Arcachon Bay. Our ground material, reduced to powder, is injected into aluminium moulds: each piece is moulded then finished one by one, by hand. Small batches, made to order.

Lenses+

Divel bionylon lenses, bio-based from castor oil. 100% UV protection, category 3. Available polarized or not, in several tints (smoke blue, G15 green).

Care & use+

Clean the lenses with the cloth provided and a little soapy water. Store your glasses in their cork case when you're not wearing them, and avoid leaving them exposed to strong heat for long periods.

Reshaping the frame: if the frame or temples warp slightly with heat, you can reshape them. Gently warm the affected area, reshape it carefully, then run it under cold water to set the shape. Never force it: handle gently, as an optician would.

Shipping & returns+

Made to order: shipped within 10 to 15 days. Returns and exchanges accepted within 30 days, provided the product is in new condition.

Frequently asked questions

What are OCENEO sunglasses made of?

Our frames are made from recycled neoprene wetsuits, ground down and transformed into a unique material. Each pair is handcrafted in Arcachon, France.

Do the lenses offer UV protection?

Yes. All our lenses provide UV400 protection (category 3), filtering 100% of UVA and UVB rays. Polarised bionylon lenses by Divel Italia are available to reduce glare.

Are the sunglasses made in France?

Yes. Each pair is hand-assembled and finished in our workshop near Arcachon, from locally collected recycled neoprene.

How long will it take to receive my order?

As our sunglasses are made to order, allow 10 to 15 days of crafting time before shipping. Shipping and returns are free.

How do I care for my recycled neoprene sunglasses?

Clean the lenses with a soft cloth and lukewarm soapy water. Avoid abrasive products and prolonged exposure to high heat, and store your sunglasses in their case to protect the frame.

Can I return or exchange my sunglasses?

Yes. You have 30 days for a free return or exchange.

Are recycled neoprene sunglasses sturdy?

We prefer to be transparent: recycled neoprene is an ecological material, by nature slightly less rigid than conventional injected plastic. For everyday use (city, beach, driving, travel) they are perfectly reliable. Simply avoid extreme stress: impact sports, strong twisting or prolonged heat. We are also working on a reinforced version with threaded rods to go even further.

What happens to my sunglasses at end of life?

They do not end up in the bin: send them back to us and they re-enter our production process to become material again, then new sunglasses. Just contact us to arrange the return.

Where does the material of my sunglasses come from?

Every frame is born from a wetsuit that has already lived. Since 2022, more than 16,000 neoprene wetsuits have been collected and given a second life through our process: ground down, turned into sheets, then shaped by hand in our Arcachon workshop. By choosing OCENEO, you extend that cycle.
