OCENEO is moving: we'll be back very soon, with new products

Our workshop has moved to Le Teich, on Arcachon Bay. Orders are paused while we gather new material, and new recycled-neoprene products are on the way.

A quick note to let you know where things stand, because so many of you have been writing to us. Our workshop has moved, orders are on pause while we restart properly, and we are preparing new products. Here are the details, straight talk only.

We have a new workshop

OCENEO is staying on Arcachon Bay. We have simply left our old premises for a larger workshop in Le Teich: more room to store the wetsuits we collect, for our machines and for our material trials. It is good news for what comes next, but the move took far longer than planned. Rather than keep customers waiting without a reliable date, we chose to refund the orders we could not fulfil within a reasonable time.

Why orders are on pause

Our glasses do not come out of a warehouse. Every pair starts with a neoprene wetsuit at the end of its life: it is cleaned, cut, ground into a fine powder, mixed with a bio-based resin, injected into our aluminium moulds, then finished by hand. No material, no production. Right now, we are waiting for wetsuits to recycle: that is the only reason for this pause. The full process is explained on our Material page.

You can help: send us your wetsuits

Every water sport is welcome: surfing, diving, kitesurfing, sailing, cold-water swimming. A wetsuit that is torn, worn out, out of fashion, or has been sleeping in a garage for three winters is exactly our raw material. Individuals can use our Recycle my wetsuit service. Surf schools, dive clubs, rental shops and manufacturers with larger volumes to hand over can write to us directly via our contact page: we will organise the collection.

What comes next

We also used the move to prepare what comes next. On the programme when we reopen: new finishes on our frames, and the first objects made from our recycled material under the NEOPOP brand, which turns coarser ground neoprene into blocks, panels, furniture and accessories. We will not promise a date until we are sure of it: this summer taught us to announce things only when they are ready.

In the meantime

The collection is still visible on the site, so you can keep making up your mind: discover our recycled-neoprene glasses. To understand our approach, our made in France and circularity pages explain how we work.

Thank you for your patience, truly. A workshop on the move is messy, but it is a sign that the project is growing. We'll be back soon.
